What it means to be a “Certified Green” Business:

To be certified "green," Martella Printing was determined to be in compliance with all the regulations and standards of the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program. This included taking steps to conserve natural resources and prevent pollution such as using more efficient lighting, purchasing in bulk, watering landscapes efficiently, taking a proactive stance on recycling, using less toxic products, and endorsing the use of recycled paper and soy-based ink.

Martella Printing also offers FSC Certified paper. The Forest Stewardship Council, or FSC, certifies paper and paper companies that insure the chain of custody of the paper is handled in a way that is environmentally sound from the moment the tree is planted to the time it is made into a product.
